Detroit sports have a storied and varied history. From the Detroit Tigers and Redwings, who have been around since the 1800s and are considered to historically be some of the best teams of their respective sports, to the Pistons and Lions, who have long and storied histories but are much less glamorous. The lions and Pistons have had success in the past, but it has been a very long time since they have been relevent. For the Lions, that is no longer the case thans to Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes, who have revitilized the Lions into a powerhouse team. The Pistons, on the other hand, are still in the bottom of the NBA.
Regardless of those facts, Detroit is considered to be a great sports city, and one of the few in the country to have all 4 teams in the city they represent. For over a hundred years, Detroit Sports has been bringing the people of Detroit and the state of Michigan as a whole together to support something bigger than themselves, and something that represents Detroit well.
